You Can Just Call Me Martha

Ok, so maybe I'm not Martha Stuart, but it's a start, right? I joined a card club with some new friends here in Iowa and we had the card exchange tonight. It was a lot of fun. All of the other girls made cards as well and tonight we did a little swap. Now I have a plethora of thank you cards to add to my stash. I miss Erinne's card parties back home, so this one helped me to feel better about not being able to go to her get-together. Here is a picture of one of the cards I made. I'm definitely a work in progress--but keep in mind I did this all by myself, without any help from my sisters back home :)

6 Months Old!

Isaac turned 6 months old yesterday--I can't believe it! Time has flown by and he has grown up so much. He is the absolute joy of our lives--Ryan and I love being parents and watching him grow up. He has been such a blessing to us. Here is a picture of him when he was just a few weeks old, and then another one of him from just a couple of days ago. I think he gets cuter everyday.

You Might Want to Sit Down for this One

Hello Everyone, Isaac has decided to open his bag of tricks, so we can provide you all with more video clips. He has a lot of things on his plate right now. He is trying to get up on all four limbs, trying to learn to eat solid (mush) food, and also he is working on sitting up. I think he is getting anxious to sit up so that it is easier for him to watch football with me. The kid has good timing. Anyway, here is Isaac sitting up. We realize it is not quite 90 degrees, but we think he is doing a pretty good job. Sometimes he leans all the way forward and he can touch his nose on the ground while his backside is still on the floor. I can barely touch my toes in the same position. Anyway, we hope you enjoy. Practicing with Dad

Here's the latest Isaac clip. I feel the need to be somewhat apologetic for posting so much about him, but you all keep encouraging me by saying how much you like the little videos that I've decided it's your fault. Besides, this new one is really cute.

Our Little Enchilada

We have an air conditioning unit in our living room and it's right in front of where Isaac always plays on the floor. The dilemma we sometimes have is that if we leave the A.C. on when Isaac's playing, he gets cold; if we turn the A.C. off when he's playing, we roast from the Midwest humidity. Yesterday, Ryan came up with this solution:
